Canadian Sikh Soldiers
Resources, mentorship, and a support network for the current and aspiring
Sikh personnel in the Canadian Armed Forces
Sikhs in the CAF is an independent community initiative focused on providing resources, mentorship, and a support network for Sikh Canadians interested in a career with the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). The website is not an affiliate of the Canadian Armed Forces, Department of National Defence (DND), or any Government of Canada entities, nor does this platform reflect any policies or positions pertaining to any of the names discussed. While we publicly share resources, link, and recruitment information, we do not speak on behalf of any of the listed names or entities.

Our Aim
This website content will only reflect the perspectives of the current and former Sikh
CAF members, which are designed to support Sikh recruits on their journey to become contributing members of the Canadian Armed Forces. We provide resources, mentorship, and informed guidance to help Sikh members navigate their military service while supporting their faith, identity, and well-being. Our current serving members, veterans, and community leaders can help CAF leadership learn and better understand the needs and considerations of Sikh personnel. The aim of this initiative is to empower and ensure Sikh personnel can serve with confidence, dignity, and pride.

Honoring Sikh Heritage, Contributions, and service in the CAF
This site is a platform to recognize the invaluable contributions of Sikh Soldiers who helped shape history through their bravery, dedication, and sacrifices in various conflicts. By highlighting their stories and achievements, we aim to honor their legacy and ensure that future generations understand the pivotal role they played in shaping our society and defending our freedoms. Here, you will find accounts of their experiences, photographs, and records that celebrate their commitment to service, fostering a deeper appreciation for their impact on both local and global scales. From WW1 Canadian Sikhs like Pte Bukham Singh, whose sacrifice became a source of inspiration for many, to the lesser-known heroes who served valiantly in different conflicts around the globe, every tale sheds light on the extraordinary courage and resilience of Sikh soldiers. This site aims to commemorate their sacrifices but also seeks to educate the public about the multifaceted contributions of Sikh communities throughout history, highlighting their enduring spirit and unwavering commitment to justice and peace. We hope to inspire a greater understanding and respect for the sacrifices made by these individuals in the pursuit of freedom and equality for all.
